I was thinking about how
strange it is that runway shows only feature fancy dresses on white gallery spaces/abandoned backgrounds, or fancy outfits in posh locales, yet eccentric anti-fashion attempts are only shown
in white/abandoned spaces.
Why aren't there more unconventional shows held
in historical locations linked
with something 'high' and 'elite'?
What if we allowed it happen
more frequently?
This project looks at the relationship between fashion
and place through the lenses
of dissonance and oddity.
Inspired by the concept of
anti-fashion and Marc Jacobs' New York Public Library show,
I play with image-making techniques such as
photography, AI-generated pictures, and collage.
